The Organic Council of Ontario is the only association dedicated to representing the interests of the entire organic sector in Ontario.

A voting membership with the Organic Council of Ontario includes the following benefits:

Representative Voice with Federal and Provincial Government Departments, Regulators and Industry Certifiers
The Council will become the representative organization for the sector. The Council will represent the Ontario organic sector at the national level and develop alliances with like organizations in other provinces.

Information on Organic Regulations and Certification  

The Council will represent the organic sector in Ontario with respect to the development and implementation of both provincial and national regulations. The organic regulations will impact such areas as product labelling, imports, exports, production, processing, and acceptable organic product ingredients.

Access to Organic Sector Database

Members will have access to a developing sector database (Ontario and beyond) in order to facilitate the development of the sector by connecting organizations or companies with sources of information.

Fostering and Creating Relationships Across the Organic Value-Chain

Improving Access to Government Funding and Grants
The Council will facilitate the sector in obtaining funding and support for areas such as research, new product development, and infrastructure development.

Updates on Government’s Organic Initiatives
The Council will consolidate and disseminate information on government initiatives in the organic sector.

Industry Trade Missions
The Council will facilitate industry trade initiatives.
