OCO Partners with COG to offer Organic Success Program in SE Ontario
As part of a NEW partnership between OCO and COG, we’re now offering Southwestern Ontario’s first Introduction to Organic Certification workshop, which will be held in Guelph on Apr. 1st, 2017 (9am to 3pm, $40, lunch included). This conveniently coincides with OCO’s AGM on Mar. 31st. Both events are happening at Innovation Guelph, 111 Farquar St., 3rd Floor.
This full-day workshop will help producers determine the differences between their current farming system and a certified organic farming system. The workshop will also include plenty of time for questions and discussion on how to operate a productive certified organic farm. The workshop kicks off the Organic Success Program, a program designed to assist Ontario farmers transition to certified organic production. OCO will be working with COG to facilitate the program in Western and Southwestern Ontario.
The workshop will be led by Ruth Knight, a Professional Agronomist and Organic Consultant with experience in organic certification inspection and livestock/pasture farming.
Space for the workshop is limited, so don’t delay! Register here.
