Community Supported Agriculture in the Mid-Atlantic Region: Results of a Shareholder Survey and Farmer Interviews
Small Farm Success Project | 2004
To better understand CSA farms in the Mid-Atlantic region, researchers with the Small Farm Success Project, a collaborative effort focused on supporting and expanding marketing opportunities for smallscale farmers in the region, explored the functioning of CSA farms and analyzed the key opportunities and limitations of these farms. This report provides an analysis of the important challenges faced by CSA farmers in the region, as revealed by the farmer interviews, as well as a more in-depth study of CSA shareholder satisfaction and retention.

Community Supported Agriculture Entering the 21st Century: Results from the 2001 National Survey
A comprehensive set of descriptive statistics and distributions are presented characterizing more than 300 Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) farms that responded to a mail survey. The respondents were distributed across 43 different states; the greatest numbers in the West, Northeast and the North Central regions.
